Jeff has been involved with all facets of kiteflying starting with design of sport kites moving then to buggy racing and it's latest reincarnation - kitesurfing. Jeff has taken a real role in the Corpus Christi kitesurfing community.

Best riding experience: Mid summer, smooth winds,
                                         riding as the sun sets with all
                                         my friends.
Worst riding experience: Anytime I've hurt myself!!!
Likes: Helping others to learn the sport and giving back
            all I can.
Dislikes: Suck ups
Why you kite: For the freedom feeling you get enjoying
                        natures energy at the control of your
                        finger tips, no motors, nothing but the
                        wind, friends and a good beer at the
                        end of the day.
 

Tanya-
Tanya arrived in Corpus this past year and has established herself as a valuable asset among the local riders.  Her experience in competitive kiteflying began at a young age and has manifested itself into a true love for kiteboarding that can be seen in her riding.

Born: 02/15/78

 

Years kiting: 10 years kiting, 4 years kiteboarding

Favorite spot: Holly Beach, and Corpus Christi.

Favorite equipment: Airush Lifts and Lift Pro's, Hana Crew

Best riding experience: Anytime I'm riding with friends.

Worst riding experience: 12 staples to the head and  the stingray

Likes: Bucky, travelling, sushi (who new???)

Dislikes: People with egos, cold water and brussel sprouts

Why I kite: For the high it gives me. Whenever I kite it puts a

                     smile on my face and that is reason enough.

 
Greg Janis (instructor)  -

Favorite spot: Right now any flat water
Favorite equipment: 2004 Slingshot Fuels, it's all about 
                              the one pump.
Best riding experience: Fish Pass, December 14th 2003...1st 
                                  day back
Worst riding experience: March 20th, 2003...unhooked 
                                    backroll to broken leg
Likes: Good people with lots of energy
Dislikes: Chia pets, whiners, praying for wind
Why I kite: It's the best of all my favorite sports.

Best riding experience: First time I landed a varial and

                                  when everyone gets together

                                   to ride.

Worst riding experience: Losing my kite in the middle  

                                    of the bay and having to swim

                                    in.

Likes: Warm weather & warm water

Dislikes: Cold weather & cold water

Born: At night, but not last night.

Favorite spot: Anywhere there is consistent wind & good friends.

Favorite equipment: Four line kites & underground boards.  I'm 

                            interested in Mutant style boards too.

Best riding experience: July 20th, 2002: Portland Kite Park. 

                                  Great conditions & better friends. 

Worst riding experience: Wrapping my kite around the pier at Cole

                                     Park.

Likes: Everything

Dislikes: Nothing except Brussel Sprouts.

Why I kite: Any time you can be outside & having a good time,

                 I'm game.
